Wake on the lake, Dine in the city

It rained for hours in the night and cleared to a beautiful day by 9AM. We had a wonderful morning and a good breakfast. The boys had Father's Day greetings for Chris and prepared cards for their grandfathers while we ate. Dierdre and the boys went off to visit cousins and friends while Chris and I stayed to do chores and chat. Chris's cousin came by with his daughter in their speed boat and off we went for a fast ride around the lake. Eric's family cottage is on an island so a proper boat is essential.

Chris and I rode back to Toronto together to the home of his father and mother, Jaan and Tiina. John is one of the godfathers of building science and taught at the University of Toronto for 50 years. He supervised the PHD work of Lstiburek, Straube, Schumaker and many others. I have always admired him and he and Tiina have invited me to stay a while here in Toronto. We were greeted with a fine dinner and later stayed up talking politics late into the night.
