GSMNP Nice ride to the Cades Cove loop.c

Woke to another cool morning  with beautiful weather and headed for Cades Cove loop after a healthy breakfast. Good morning America how are you. This road followed the creek that I'm camped next to for 15 miles before taking another fork and going upstream for another 10. Rolling past cliffs and waterfalls and ferns and a tumbling River. I was hemmed in by trees and mountains and beauty that I just couldn't take in all at once. My legs felt strong and I was riding fast and hard.

Once I got to the Cades Cove loop it became a one lane one way road with everyone on the lookout for wildlife."STOP THE CAR!" moments were numerous. Fortunately on the bike I was able to wind through the stopped cars and continue on. I did take the obligatory bear sighting picture.

The loop was truly beautiful and the cars were truly slow. When I got held up by horses crossing the road the lead rider said sorry to hold you up but I replied you're faster than the cars.

Back on the road I was having a great time as it was another day of long easy climbs and fast descents. Lucky has been treating me well and I sure am grateful to have her.

The next two are for Kimberly. Sorry Trey, no Goats in the national Park.

Spot the gosling next to its mama.

That's all for now. Edit, well whadayaknow. On the way back to camp there were a couple more bears. Hereyago.

  1. The bears are amazing! Hope they don't visit your campsite! No goats? I could send some! Linda
