After Glacier National Park everything else is going to seem just......

I drove early to Glacier National Park and did the first day dance to find a campsite. I got lucky and landed in Avalanche Campground. It was cold and foggy when I got there and I should have taken more pictures of the misty magic because an hour later the sun came out and it was clear and beautiful each day after that and rained at night. I saw a bear cross the road into a campground within a half hour of arriving and wildlife was in abundance. I took 329 pictures in the park so I'll edit and split the post up into parts. This first part will show my bike ride on the Going to the Sun Road. It was stunning and fun to climb to Logan pass. The climb was 5400 feet in 12 miles and the descent was all about managing speed, passing cars and trying to not get cramps in my hands form braking.

The water in the lakes up here is so clear that it is hard to tell where the land stops and the water starts. The colors are amazing and the pictures will not represent it's true beauty.

All of these pictures are taken while pedaling my heart out. I loved this ride but most of the other roads in the park are not worth the traffic after all the beauty I've seen so far on this trip.

Upon reaching the summit I was the lone cyclist, so of course I achieved hero status among many of the auto folks.

No pics on the way down but I can't wait to see the gopro video of the descent. I can only say that these pictures are a poor representation of the beauty that is the going to the sun road.
