Touring Acadia and Mt Desert Island Cold Wet Rule 9 type of day but Beautiful

Sorry I so far behind on this blog but I'll try to catch up a bit. There has just been so much going on and the weather got better so there are  fewer rain days when I also have internet. I'll probably be making it text light and picture heavy so you'll have to put up with less rambling. Acadia was pretty cold every day and one day was so chilly and damp I just put on a coat and edited movies all day. The next day I did a looong ride around the island and up the middle spending lot's of time on the coast and next to the many lakes that separate the island into two parts. The eastern part is the park and Bar Harbor. The western half is more privately owned and the roads were not nearly as pleasant to ride on but there were cultural aspects that made it worthwhile. Cultural includes a great bakery, the best I've ever experienced. Towards the end it started raining so no pictures after that.

Here's a nice beaver lake with three lodges. I saw some bubbles on the surface so I stopped and watched him swim to shore. He surfaced right at the water's edge.
