The Lion in Winter

There is a summer theater season in the Berkshires and in addition to being smart and good looking, my nephew Matt is also highly talented. This summer he is playing King Philip II in the play, The Lion in Winter. This is being performed in Stockbridge Massachusetts, which is just down the road from Albany. Stockbridge is the place where Norman Rockwell's works were created and has been left just as it was in the 50s.
This hotel has been in continuous operation for 240 years so this place was quaint before it was discovered by Rockwell.

This is the theater that was a casino prior to 1928. It is a nice venue and was well attended. Matt got me some great seats in the center of the 4th row and the performance was very enjoyable. Matt is expressive and quick and was perfectly cast as Philip. There were a couple of big names involved and Matt more than held his own, he shown.

I hope to see more of Matt's work. He has a bright future and is worth following and traveling to see.
